Course Description
This course will focus on providing culturally sensitive play therapy in the treatment of diverse populations. Some of the populations to be discussed include: various tribal cultures, military families, and foster care. Other cultural, socio-economic, and sexual identity/orientation will also be explored in using various play therapy theories, techniques, and applications.

- Describe 2 or more clinical considerations in implementing play therapy within Native American culture
- Describe 2 or more clinical considerations in implementing play therapy within LGBTQIA+ culture
- Assess 1 or more ways your role as a professional should be explored in working with various cultures utilizing play therapy.
- Analyze 2 or more ways how your own culture influences your interactions with play therapy clients that have similar or different cultural backgrounds.
