Oklahoma Play Therapy Training Institute was established to educate mental health professionals in the practice of play therapy. Various play therapy trainings and supervision will be offered. • If OPTTI cancels a training, we will refund registration fee or participant can decide to use that as a credit to an upcoming training.
• Individuals who wish to enter the complete program must complete application. All application fees are nonrefundable.
• Individual course cancellations received at least 5 days prior to scheduled training are refundable less a $35 administrative fee.
• Cancellations received within 5 days prior to a scheduled training will not be refunded.
• Missed training (no shows) will not be given a refund.
• Must attend entire training, partial CE credit is not available.

Meet Your Instructors and Supervisors
NANCY RUMLEY SOLIZ, MS, LMFT, RPT-S™
Nancy is a graduate of Kansas State University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Family Studies and Human Services, following her Bachelor of Science in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and a Registered Play Therapist–Supervisor (RPT-S™).
Nancy currently practices in northwest Oklahoma City with Family Solutions Counseling Kids (FSC Kids). Her clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including school-based and home-based services as a contract provider with Family and Children’s Consultants, Inc. in the Oklahoma City area. With a strong clinical focus on trauma and attachment, Nancy previously served as Director of Social Services and therapist at a therapeutic foster care agency in Oklahoma City and has worked extensively with military families at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Nancy utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, supporting clinicians as they develop competence in trauma-focused practice. She integrates a wide range of clinical skills through sandtray therapy and is a Registered Sand Therapist Consultant and Trainer (RST-C/T). Nancy is also a Certified Theraplay® Practitioner, Theraplay® Supervisor, and Trainer-in-Training. Theraplay® is an evidence-based, attachment-focused treatment model that centers the caregiver–child relationship as the foundation for healing.
In addition to her clinical work, Nancy is deeply involved in professional leadership and education. She currently serves on committees for both the Oklahoma Association for Play Therapy (OKAPT) and the Association for Play Therapy (APT). She previously served on the International Theraplay® Board, including in the role of Vice President, and served as President of OKAPT from 2016–2019.
Nancy is a national speaker and trainer, providing play therapy, attachment-based, and trauma-informed trainings across the United States. She offers clinical supervision to clinicians nationwide, supporting therapists at all stages of professional development. She is the owner of Oklahoma Play Therapy Training Institute, a training organization dedicated to providing high-quality, developmentally grounded, and clinically relevant education for mental health professionals seeking to deepen their play therapy practice.
Instructors and Supervisors
Brandy Guidry, MA LPC, RPT-S™

Brandy Guidry, M.A. LPC Supervisor, RPT-S™, works for Transitions, Inc. She graduated in 2015 from Southern Nazarene University with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. Brandy works with children and adults individually and as a family with an emphasis on treating trauma. Her passion is play therapy and she is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™. She practices from a primarily Adlerian Play Therapy perspective but integrates components of other play therapy modalities periodically. She has dreams to increase the number of clinicians of color credentialed as play therapists and desires to promote diversity and inclusion in any space she is in. She is a certified facilitator for Circle of Security, an attachment-based parenting program and rostered in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). She is certified as a parent coach for Attachment Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC) and currently pursuing certification for Adlerian Play Therapy.
Brandy teaches our Assessment Class, Progress Notes, and Lifespan Trainings and is one of our supervisors.
Julie Reising, LMFT, RPT-S™

Julie Reising, LMFT, RPT-S™ is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, Oklahoma-approved LMFT Supervisor, a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™, and a Mindset and Empowerment Life Coach.
More than two decades of training and experience has honed Julie’s intuitive attunement in dismantling emotional barriers that hinder well-being and thwart life goals. Julie embraces the therapeutic process with clients of all ages, and her integrative approach to helping clients live their best lives can best be summed up in her tagline words: compassion, hope, transformation.
Julie embraces a “lifelong learner” approach to her work and continually hones her skills to provide the best experience possible to clients and supervisees alike. Julie has served on the board for the Oklahoma Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and on the board for the Oklahoma branch of the Association for Play Therapy (OKAPT). Julie holds an adjunct faculty position in the MFT graduate program at Oklahoma Baptist University. As a life coach, Julie assists amazing humans in turning life-transitions into meaningful transformation.
Known to be a straight-talker, Julie speaks to audiences not only to uplift and entertain, but to ignite profound inspiration and foster personal transformation.
Julie is an empty-nester who has been married to the love of her life for just about forever and has two adult children she adores. When she’s not working, you can find Julie embracing her own brand of amazing by traveling, running, fishing, scuba diving, or playing with her beloved granddaughter. Julie’s happy place is in, on or by water.
Julie teaches our Mindfulness Training and serves as a supervisor.
Hannah Holcomb, LPC, RPT™

Hannah is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy after receiving her Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in Human Development and Family Science with an option in Early Childhood Education. Hannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified School Counselor.
Hannah is currently serving as an Elementary School Counselor and is also in private practice in northwest Oklahoma City with the Family Solutions Counseling group. She has previous experience as an early childhood educator teaching first grade, school counseling, and private practice. Hannah is also a Making Sense of Your Worth Facilitator helping women and teens navigate their past.
Hannah utilizes play therapy techniques, attachment theory, and internal family systems techniques to reach our most vulnerable population – our children. Hannah is passionate about children who have experienced trauma and lowering adverse childhood effects for all children. She is also passionate about serving women and families who are journeying through motherhood, loss, and the ups and downs of life.
Hannah co-teaches our Beginner and Advanced Sandtray courses.
Casi Bournival, MSBS, LMFT-S, RPT-S™, CAPT, C.AP.

Cassandra takes great pleasure in collaborating with parents and children in order to cultivate the essential confidence and abilities required to effectively address demanding behaviors and familial challenges. Additionally, she provides assistance to adults seeking self-improvement, coping with trauma, managing ADHD, and grappling with anxiety. In her therapeutic practice, Cassandra implements interventions that encompass mindfulness, art, sandtray, and play therapy. It is worth noting that she follows an Adlerian model in her therapy, which prioritizes an individual’s sense of belonging, fosters creativity, acknowledges the goal-oriented nature of all behavior, and recognizes the unique identity of each person. Furthermore, Cassandra is committed to offering affirming therapy and acting as an ally to the LGBTQ+ and Neurospicy communities.
